I'm the Founder & Director of Shastack, where CodingChai is our primary and flagship product focused on real-world technical assessments for modern tech hiring. At CodingChai, I lead product strategy, engineering, and innovation, with a strong emphasis on designing practical, role-relevant assessment systems.
With over 13 years of experience, I've worked across a wide range of frameworks and technologies used in leading software industries, and have designed and delivered thousands of assessments tailored to evaluate real-world engineering skills across diverse technical domains.
My Story
From my college days at IIIT Hyderabad, I had early exposure to competitive programming, which shaped my approach to problem-solving and software engineering. Over time, this evolved into a deep focus on technical interview assessments, where I worked with modern frameworks and technologies across frontend, backend, DevOps, data, and system design roles. This journey included a significant phase at HackerRank, where I managed global programming contests and contributed to a wide range of skills and assessments.
Following HackerRank, I spent two years at Expertlead in Germany, where I designed interview processes and assessments for senior engineering and leadership roles, ranging from senior engineers to CTOs. After leaving Expertlead, I continued my assessment work as a freelancer and consultant, collaborating closely with hiring teams and engineering leaders.
Recognizing the need to formalize these ideas and build scalable systems, I founded ShaStack a year ago, under which our flagship product, CodingChai, was created to deliver practical, real-world technical assessments.
